I’ve finally settled on a redesign for the site, after playing around with several themes/CSS pages over the past few weeks. The site was looking musty and a bit 2000-and-late for my tastes, so I’ve settled on the Compositio theme from Design Disease. I stripped the CSS from the theme and used it as a basis to build the other pages of the site, although I’m still playing with them a bit. The theme actually is a couple of years old, but it still feels fresh.
This marks the third major redesign of Hokum and the site. I’m still looking for a new intro page — the Flash intro page I’m using feels cheesy and dated — but the rest of the site hopefully will keep this design for at least a couple of years.
