Nice job on an awesome song. I happen to think Jason is one of the better musicians working today and like all great songwriters he pens tunes we all find something that speaks to us. That it does to you is obvious and you make it yours. That’s all you can really ask for.
There’s a couple of little clammy vocal things in there (and an incorrect line), but all in all, not bad for a one-shot practice pull. It’s easily the hardest song I sing — it’s right on the edge of my vocal range and there are some serious octave-plus jumps in the vocals. This whole album remains in my heavy rotation two years after it was released. I really like his wife’s music, too.
